Vibration when braking over 40 mph
Hi,
I started getting a vibration/grinding/judder sort of feeling when I brake over 40 mph. I may feel it in the steering wheel a bit. It may be coming more from the passenger side. I can't be sure. When it occurs both the sound and vibrating/judder become much more noticeable as the braking speed and force increases.
So far I've changed the front and rear discs/pads, checked and cleaned all the clips. Greased the caliper pins and ensure they can slide ok. I also applied copper grease where needed.
I checked the tyres but they are all fairly new and a good brand. I had the wheels on my other RX8 and this one. I've never even curbed them so I know it's not a wheel issue.
After doing these things the problem persists. It hasn't made any difference so I'm thinking it must be something else. I just have no idea what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for reading.

Driving my unreliable rx8
Your Brake rotors are probably warped or have large amounts of pad build up. Im guessing you did not have them surfaced.
Did you bed in your pads?

Thanks for the suggestion.
It can't be the rotors though.
The symptoms were there before and have not changed since replacing all the discs/rotors and pads with quality parts.
If it was related to discs or pads. Replacing them would have had at least some effect.
I've had new discs and pads many time over 18 years of driving. I've always changed them myself and know how to bed them in. This is not definitely not the issue.
I thinking it must be something else other than the obvious discs, pads, sticky caliper, tyres, wheels etc, as I said, I've checked all this stuff.

I just took it out for a test drive.
Some other things I noticed;
The handbrake is right at the top. It works but it's very high.
The vibration/judder/noise only occurs when I brake between about 40-70 mph. Anything under or over this seems ok or at least much less of the symptoms.

Check the abs sensors. As the hub failed on my truck the abs sensors read different speed on the bearings. When the hub was changed the shaking went away. Theres a way to check em with a multimeter.
