It doesn't mater how much you pay (or if they give yopu a coupon to cover the parking charge with your stay, or a certin ammount spent on the bar/casino etc...)

If the parking is restricted to a certin demographic (paying clientele) then the parking owner is liable because you have a certain expectation of safety you are paying for.

I was a security guard for loomis Fargo and worked severl months in the parking lot of a hotel back in'98 in my first years on college that's how I know this.

 

Ah. Someone said if you had to pay to park they were responsible, so I mentioned knowing of fees before. It makes sense that if something happens to your property while being on someone else's property while using their services, they should be responsible for it.

 

Ya know..if the nation in general tell the thieves that if they ever get caught, they will have one of their hands chopped off..would be a nice incentive to NOT try your luck..but, we live in the real world and are too civilized (note the sarcasm)..that really sucks man!!

Only suggestion, is for you to get one of those portable hand-rail carts..ya know? The one you see those flight stewardess use when they are packing 2 or 3 bags of stuff..might save you only one trip if your company is unwilling to put you in a more secure environment..Hope those bastard gets what is coming to them..

Guns wouldn't do you any good in this situation unless you were ambushing them..assuming Texas has the Castle's law in place?

Man, that sucks. My 7 got broken into at my old apartment, and it was sitting next to this BMW with all kinds of audio in it but they broke into my car. Sorry someone did that to you and your car man.

Make sure your car is clean inside and that means everything.

I have known of several people breaking into a vehicle because they saw some loose change. If they have loose change there may be something else to steal.

If you don't believe me ask the police.

Someone told me to take my bunny out of the backseat because someone would steal it. Otherwise, it's the only thing I have visible in my car.

I would find somewhere with secure parking - TODAY. Pay with your own dime if you must, then insist on reimbursement and relocation, including secure parking. If they refuse, think hard about finding something else as it would mean they care not for your safety or property.

Lesson learned: don't leave valuables unattended in your car, and if you must, then at least conceal them under the seat, in the glove box, etc.

 

Some guy kept breaking into my friend's car at night. He stole two good head units, ripped apart the dash, and stole some of his cd's. This was over the course of two months, where I told my friend to get an alarm system. Well, I lent my brand new sony camera to this friend, and he happened to leave it in his car (glove compartment) to bring it back to me the next day, and it got stolen. Needless to say, I got involved.

The very next night we camped out in my car across the parking lot from his and drank beers. We put another head unit in his car. Low and behold the thief comes by in his shitty *** toyota pickup with his buddy. We jumped out and beat the **** out of them (fortunately they weren't armed), and called the police. At the end of the day, the police were able to locate one of his stolen head units (installed in the thief's truck), and my camera (given to the theif's gf.. how nice of him).

While I don't usually condone violence, I must admit revenge was sweet. Oh, and I finally got my friend to move out of that neighborhood. I'm sorry for your loss man. You shouldn't think this is over. Usually these guys will come back for more, and you just have to be ready next time.

Safe mode only works if the user just install windows and didnt change anything

Usually people who wants more security outa XP would use group policy, which is the lusrmgr.msc and set the stuff there.

dont do it if you dont know what you're doing tho, I've seen dumbasses locked themself out and force them to reinstall windows

Buy a Macintosh and use the built-in FileVault protection. Encrypts of all your files on the fly with minimal intrusion. If they take your drive and plug it into a port in another computer, your files are still protected.

Plus Macs work better.

That crap is even worst, you can say everything is hackable but trust me, its easier than you can imagine. AES-128 bit .... I almost past out when I saw that.

I just dont get it, why most MAC users got this false sense of security in their mind. Mac OS is easier to break than Windows/Linux.
