Talking Viper, Porsche, BMW, RX-8?

I went to dinner tonight at a restaraunt that is for a very 'upscale' crowd, a crowd I actually do not vibe with but relatives were treating me to dinner, so no complaints eh :D

I pull up and it was a Valet only parking lot, I'd have to walk a half a mile to park on my own...but I swore to myself, Valet? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I drive around the valet lot to find a hidden spot on my own when a different valet guy walks up to my car and insists he park OR escort my car to a special spot...I'm like, hmmm what?????????????????????????

So I decide to get escorted since I'm allowed to park it on my own and he leads me to this special area on the side of the lot, away from other cars but in full view of the front of the restraunt, large parking spaces with the company of:

A brand new Porsche Carrera, a brand new Dodge Viper, a brand new BMW M5, and another BMW I could not make out.

Funny thing is on the valet slip they normally write the license plate number, make, model of car, etc etc. on my slip the just put 'RX8.' I decided to look at the viper too and it had just 'Viper.' on the tag!

I gave them a good tip anyway for just 'watching' my car since they never drove it :D

That happens to me here in Vegas pretty often. Last time I got the royal treatment, they put it next to a phantom.

they'll do it for any car. You just have to not let them park your car. Typically, only people with really nice cars would be so pretentious though.

Mustang? Throw it into the corral next to the pinto and colt.

Doc - hope you're in a good mood to put up with all the ribbing.

I can handle it.

Massive amounts of HP and torque do wonders for one's disposition.

I have said I would never let anyone valet my car, but if it were in a place parking next to those cars, I better carry a camera.

Something similar happened to me recently. I went to Cheesecake factory over in Warner Center. Pull up and they leave my car right in the front (pulled up & they moved it about 10-15 ft. off to the front, right on front of the bar) for like 1/2 hour, then they back it into one of the front parking spaces right next to a BMW 745, Jaguar XK8 & MBZ S Class. When I came out & gave the guy my ticket, the valet remarks to me "Really nice car man !" Tonight over at Universal Citywalk I pull into the Valet and he treats me really well. Then when I came back he remembered me and told me "sweet car man, that is so nice !" My friend was like "look at that babe magnet !" Always good to get a compliment about your car from a woman.
