WAHOO i did it~!!
2004 black 6 speed manual GT, appearance package, spoiler, rotory accents, spare tire...
i bought it as a demo with 4500 miles on it and i talked with the guy who demoed the car and i feel confident it wasn't abused too much... and the build date is 09/03... i was wondering what things i should make sure has been done to the car and how to check for it... i did a visual inspection and there were a couple nicks they plan on fixing for me... so far everything else seemed fine to me...
and any tips would be helpful... i plan on reading the owners manual in a couple days when i have time...
i'm sooooooo excited....
thanks to everyone on this board... reading all the threads made me even more confident in getting this car and i already love it.... zoom zoom
first edit added pic:
i have taken the step to join th rx family..
second edit:another one in the daytime:
sorry about that second pic being so big

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the 'club'
I joined a few days ago and am now addicted, don't let them get you too. You can still escape!!! <<<I would put a smiley, but I am dead serious.....
I don't own an 8, so no advice from me other than post some pictures.

Congrats and welcome!
If it's a demo, chances are good that the dealership has already remedied any issues (including updated ECU firmware) so folks could've tested the car without problems.
Other than that, hopefully you'll enjoy the 8 as much as we have so far!

Welcome. :D First change your tranny and diff. fluids to Red Line or Royal Purple. Then go to DIY and do protection mods. Now drive it like you stole it as no break in needed.

the first thing you should do is move your car from that parking spot...your parked right next to a fire hydrant...then CELEBRATE and drive it like you stole it to mexico and bring a hot latino girl back for me!

Congrats and psssst... you might not want to stay parked in front of that fire hydrant lest a big hairy towtruck driver incorrectly tows your baby away!

Yes, I quite approve of the color. You can do the break pedal pump to see if the oil guage sweeps. This will tell you if you have one of the later ecu flashes. I would not trust the dealership to do it, even though they are supposed to.

i paid 23500 plus ttl for it... i was about to settle for new titanium with only a touring package and spoiler for 26500... but i saw this car and it all the other goodies like the GT package, appearance package, spoiler, rotary accents, spare tire.. it was a demo car so i went for it... i just wish i had time to research the price... i bought on impulse... visually just a couple of nicks on it.. the tint lookslike it'll start bubbling within the next year but i plan on getting a little darkier tint anyways... overall i'm very happy...

Nice car, nice color, nice deal, nice fire hydrant!
1. Before you pick it up, make sure the dealer does all relevant recalls and TSBs. You'll find them listed here:
http://www.finishlineperformance.com...ocs/index.html
Print out the ones that apply to your VIN/build date and let the dealer know you want them all done.
2. Oil/filter change. It's either nearly due or badly overdue, depending on whether they did one shortly after the break in period.
3. Check out the Oil Cooler/AC Compressor screens on this DIY thread:
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-oil-cooler-opening-mesh-grille-replacement-8147/
This is a vital DIY if you want to eliminate the risk of non-warranty damage that costs $850+ to repair.
4. Zaino, Zaino, Zaino
