Wow.. I didn't know they would buy it without buying one of theirs.. Do you know if they give actual trade-in value like what KBB says? They have a link to KBB on their site..

like any dealership they are gonna give you less than KBB, but i've had some people have really good luck with them, and some that haven't as far as appraisal goes. but yeah, they will buy it outright from you

No, it's not worth it to go in so much debt for this car, or any car for that matter.
Dumb financial decision, but if you are going through with it, I had good experience with Jeff Haas Mazda in Houston. They will give you an internet quote and honor it.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try, only thing is.. The nearest CarMax to me is almost three hours away.. And I would hate to waste that far of a trip for nothing..
It wouldn't be that much of a problem if my truck hadn't been wrecked, but now, no telling what value they will put on it because of the wreck..

Haha, they have three at that location.. One is an Auto (don't want an auto) and the other two are kinda pricey.. Not if I were to get them without trade-in, but I know I will take a hit on the trade-in and it isn't worth it to be paying over $20k for a used RX-8 IMO..
Blah.. This whole ordeal gives me a headache..

One day I will go to CarMax and see what they will offer me for it.. I'm sure it won't be that great either.. If that happens, I'll just start putting extra money into the truck note to try and get it to where I can do somewhat of an even trade-off..
May even try putting it up for sale for a few weeks and see how that goes..
Either way, I KNOW an RX-8 is what I want, I've loved the car ever since I test drove my manager's back in 2004 or 2005 (it was after the release of X2, she got the same color)..
Bah.. I just want one.. But I guess I shouldn't jump the gun and do something stupid to get myself in a bad financial bind..
Thank's for everyone's input.. I will probably lurk around the forums reading as much as I can about the RX-8 til I can get one of my own.
Wish me luck!
