Well considering everything there states the same, obviously incorrect 8500, I figured it would be wise to ask the geniuses here for some more accurate advice. Instead you point me back again towards the same problem that I mentioned in the original post: The f'ing tach is off so obviously i can't just look...hence the creation of thread.
omg nevermind.
Me: "the tach is off, so i was just curious what a particular point of interest is in terms of actual rpm if anyone has accurate data"
replies: "look at the tach" or, even better, "look at internet sources that just tell you what the tach says"

You never stated the tach was off, you simply asked when it beeped, which in turn everyone gave you the same answer that google did, 8500 rpm. And also if you need to beep your horn you simply press the center of the steering wheel {preemptive thread kill}

oh my goodness the accessport will taint my perfect little 8!! Actually it's just too expensive for something I wouldn't use as much as others do. Actually, and this is a little known secret, I do have a mod!!!!!! it's the MazdaSpeed shift ****!!! OMG it totally changes the car and increases mid range throttle response. One thing cool about the 40th ann editions though, is that they already have the upgraded dampers from the R3, as well as front crossmember, and the 09' wheels. So it's sorta upgraded already.

It's interesting to note that his explanation arguments always suggest a course of action he should have taken, and I can't help but notice that the top "related thread" listed below is also one of his...

google this: what rpm does the rx8 beep
The first 30 results have the answer.
The first 30 results have the answer.
I'd guess that the owner's manual is more authoritative than an Internet search. It says striped zone.
Hope that settles it.
