Warranty:

Hi, I bought my 05 Mazda RX8 in October 04 in Canada and the 3 year warranty will expire in 3 weeks.

I baby the car and it only has 19,000 kilometers. I've never had a problem with it. Would you advise me to bring in the car for a check up prior to the warranty expiring?

Thanks in advance for feedback.

Yes...but from my understanding you have to have something for them to look at/for before they will make the appointment.

you can simply say, "i want a compression test run and a tune up."

the compression test will run you a few hundred dollars, but i'd recommend everyone do one in the month preceding their warranty running out. it checks to see if the engine is still in good shape. a few hundred is cheaper than paying for a new engine. and if its not, then mazda will replace the engine under warranty.
