Warranty issue because of aftermarket bumper?

Hey guys..so my cars at the dealership right now getting an oil change and a few other things taken care of. One of the issues was the headlight level problem(gauge light on) and he started telling me that they dont think they can fix it because I have an aftermarket bumper and I "did some work on the front end". In case they go with this, im right in saying that the bumper modification has nothing to do with the headlights right? Can they not take care of this because I switched out the bumper? Any help would be appreciated to get me prepared

I did find the DIY so worst case i can give that a try..i just want to know if these guys are going to pull things like this everytime i go, in which case ill try another dealer

that's a tough sell on that part. if the light is coming on, it's because there's an error with the auto leveling sytem. I doubt they can blame that on a bumper.

if its damaged its not covered. the b to b covers a failure but not actual damage. maybe you have some road hazard coverage under your ins. policy?

dude, its a known problem that Mazda used some cheap *** connectors that will break over time then water runs in and short the connection.

Dealership are fuxking retarded these days.

Show them the TSB and tell them that its not ur *bumper's fault* that the crap broke.

tell them to hold off on all other work then, and you are taking it to another shop.. usually the threat will get them to do the work.

^ Don't bother threatening to take it elsewhere, just do it. It sounds like a crappy dealership to me. Have you checked w/some of the other Massholes to see which local dealers are decent?

here we go with this mess all over again. its sad that you can't do a single thing to the car without the stealership having something to say about it.
