Some sorry people out there, huh?
I've already posted this today, but it belongs here more. I'm selling a '93 Intrepid that I haven't been using (to help a little with the RX-8 down payment ya know)(wanna buy it?:D ). I had it sitting in the corner of the front yard for about 1 week. Coming back home from work Monday, I found that it had been EGGed! I filed the worthless police report, but I'm surely not expecting anyone to be caught. It washed-off fine, but it's the thought that counts.
I lived in a semi-rural neighborhood for 6 years, where the average household income might barely have been over the national poverty level. Never had this kind of problem there.
Now I live in an upper middle class neighborhood. It's been 18 months since I've moved here. The kids are roudier & the grupps are much more plastic & shallow. Now this.
Sometimes I just feel like movin back to "da hood", where people treated me with more honesty (even when they had a bone to pick with me) and respect, and they at the very least honored the golden rule & the ten commandments. Sure there were some bad asses, but they were known by all and greatly outnumbered.
Scottie, beam me up!

I am sorry as well. What is it with bumpers getting keyed?
My wife's 2000 Accord recently got it's bumper keyed... 43 times. No kidding. It happened while we were inside a Starbucks.
Luckily my father-in-law in Colorado owns an autobody shop and he'll repaint it for me. He told me that I could expect to pay $500 to have someone else do it.

This is all very disheartening. What kind of losers get satisfaction out of doing stuff like this to a person's property?! I've just started getting back into the daily work/errand/shopping/etc. grind with my RX-8, but I feel a little bit of anxiety everytime I leave it somewhere. Hopefully that'll wear off soon (probably after I get my first door ding or scratch ). Ahhh, I keep telling myself it's just a car, but it's my first new baby in 17 years so I want it to stay nice and pristine for at least a little while!
btw, I like your name, grogiefrog!
