We Made The Wrong List :(

I cannot say I disagree with the article....
just look at 80% of the posts on this forum... I still bought one... a used one infact.... but I did a ton of research and knew what I was getting into.... also the fact that mazda offers a great engine warranty off sets the issue a little.... but I have had no issues with my 06 so far... I would agree that it is a bad choice for your average consumer but so are ducati's, mac's and other unique products.... if I wanted the most reliable vehicle in the world I would have bought a 1970 chevy pickup....
(I use linux btw, before the mac haters come out of the wood work...)
and yes I found it amusing that 50% of the list were VW products :D

Sensitive car, the 8 is.
Yet I wish the media could understand that it's also a car which really and truly has the ability to connect with its owner, in both new or used form. Sometimes unique cars have that tendency.

I completely agree macs are based on Unix of which Linux is a relative of. They are not plagued by viruses or the general bs that is so common with Windows. Yet most people that switch to MAC based on others opinion are not happy with them because they are unfamiliar with the os. If they have a friend that has one and get the tutorial first hand they are usually very happy but people that just pickup a MAC at best buy and bring it home are not. It's very similar to an rx8 if you understand what you are buying and have the right info they are awesome little cars but if someone picks one up used wih no knowledge they generally run it dry on oil and lock it up before the first oil change

yeah...04's did NOT offer memory seat functionality...at least not in the US.
and the a/c issue MUST be referring to that control **** issue where sometimes it blows hot or cold, but the **** stops working. i had this issue...tried the diy myself but didn't work so just replaced the whole control **** set for $200...hardly the end of the world.
the engines...well many died, but again, don't think it's an "incredibly high" number or however they put it.
