weight differences?

Does anyone know or have a good guess at what the differences will be between the 3 models as far as weight? I am planning on going to the dealer this evening to finalize my preorder and weight is one of the things I am considering to help me to come to a final decision on the model and options I want. Thanks

Mike

Well you have to look at the options you get.

Base - The lightest. Nothing but the bare minimum.

Sports - Just as light as the base. The larger brakes may add slighty to the final weight but very minimal.

Touring - Moonroof is obviously going to give you ~50lbs. to the final wight.

Grand Touring - Obviously the heaviest of them all. You have moonroof, Leather seats (maybe ~10-20lbs. correct me if im wrong) due to the heated seat option and power adjustment.

I opted for the sports because I wanted the lightest car possible. If the approximate weight is around ~2800 as it was stated in the March Issue of EVO that would be great! :D

Congrats on being another pre-owner of the new 8.
