weird problem i have at start-up

sometimes in the morning when i start her up and i hit the gas crusin out of my development the acceleration lags Big time... also somtimes.... when i floor it and its just about to shift into 2nd it gets lagged up! (just like whne u 4get to shift in manual mode)

i have a Auto btw.

these probs really only happen in the morning whne i 1st start up the car. is it normal ?

Are you even warming it up? I may be wrong but I recall reading that the car may adjust your top-end redline when the engine is cold.

I would agree with brovoodoo, when I don't warm up my auto enough (less than a minute) it lags shifting ESPECIALLY into 4th. It'll hang onto 3rd until 5500rpms when I'm NOT even flooring.... just doesn't wanna shift.

Gotta keep the lead foot off the gas til the temp. gauge is where it usually is.

you should never floor your car unless its warmed up!!! (tach in the middle) my friend broke his car like that because he tried to race me when we just got out of the parking lot... the manual says to at least wait 10 seconds before shifting into gear and driving at first startup

If it's not warmed up, the the car's computer limits the revs around 6500. I've had this happen before, and it scared the crap out of me till I read the manual. Don't push your car right after you've started up.
