Well it finally happened...rear ended =/

Really?...I asked them if there would be any color conflict, and they said no. They said they'd paint the bumper the exact same color, then clear coat it, so I don't think there would be any 'blending'...but if there is a problem after that, I think I'll have the right to complain.

the bumper is huge too. It doesnt look that big on the car, but when its not attached...it barely fit in a 6.
Your car is red so it may not be as hard as it would be for like the silver or gray. Thats what the shop i took mine too said. Mine is WB and they did a great job without blending. You cant even tell its my second bumper. I don't know if that helps you out at all.

Yeah, I believe they usually blend. You did well to call the cops (or someone who can write up and accident report). You should do that automatically regardless of what information you get. Even if the person who rear ended you seems like the most wonderful person in the world. Police. When people get home they will start thinking of ways that you were wrong for being there. They had the right to drive into you. Then they challenge your claim against their insurance.

Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way. My first accident (~19 yrs old); a lady pulled out from the curb into my car. She seemed very nice, we exchanged info, then when she got home said that I swerved and hit her where she was parked. Witch.
Fortunately it was my first car, a 1982 Chrysler Battle Cruiser. She had a destroyed hubcap, fender and her front bumper was torn off. I had a scratch on my passenger side door.
So always 411 the local police. You might make the other driver angry but it is not worth getting stuck with a deductible when you did nothing wrong.

I had a lady hit me in the drive thru of Burger King. She passed the meun and then backed up really fast without looking. She smashed my headlight and bent my hood. I asked why didnt she look before she baxked out. She got an attitude and told me she was going to sue me for damages. I laughed and said you hit me. I then showed her my bagde and amazingly she shut up. I told her to pull into a parking space and we would exchange info. She gave a 800 dollar check 2 days later.
