Well, I, err we did it...

I'm surprised no one's started a poll yet about whether it's true or not.
Would anyone actually want to marry this guy?
I'd say, no girfriend, no RX8.
He's had too much wine again.

Well, if it is a joke, then good one .......
If it is for REAL, then JOKE on you dude. The guy spend 40% of his time each day knocking on the RX-8 on our forum and now his girlfriend wanted one, what an irony !

So after some internet dealings the fleet manager we will be picking up a black MT RX-8 with the touring package. We got it for a few hundred over invoice so we're happy, and the deal should be signed sometime tomorrow night. It came down between that and a Mini S, but there was a waiting list and dealers are still charging MSRP on the Minis. Besides the Mini seems to be looking like a reliability nightmare.
I'm looking forward to having it sit next to my WRX and getting to play around with it whenever I want.

It's either April Fool's day or H**l has frozen over.
Well, congratualtions Ike, and I hope that your significant other enjoys the car. Lord knows that there is noone on this earth who knows more about this car at this point so I guess that you know what you ae getting into. Enjoy.

Guys, I think it's an April's Fool Day joke.
At least Ike has good taste in his joke and chose a BLACK MT.
(see my sig :-)

Ike, you got some reputation on this board....
Even when you buy an RX-8 (if you really did) you get called a troll! The joke is on somebody for sure... :D :D
-- feeling skeptical, though. Happy motoring, whatever!

Ok ok, time to let the cat out of the bag. April Fools!!!
Though I do wish it was true, it would be fun to have an RX-8 to drive and be able to keep my WRX. My girlfriend is being lame and wants to hold on to her Altima for a little longer after some cutbacks that have been going on at her workplace. It's the smart thing to do, and her Altima has been trouble free for 60k miles and still runs great. But when the time comes I will be steering her towards a Mini S, Saab 9-2 (she has some weird thing for Saabs), or an RX-8 most likely.
Have a good April Fool's day, I'm going out drinkin!

Woot! that is all... but you still have to beat down the rx8-zealots when outrageous claim #9823 hits the boards.
ok?
EDIT... need to read the entire thread prior to posting... that will teach me.

Go for the Saaburu...the exterior actually looks like it was designed to be a Saab from the beginning. I've always loved Saabs...at least until GM started ruining them.
I know you've got a WRX but we're also very happy with our '03 Outback Wagon (our 2nd one)...although it definitely needs more power with the AT. Replacement will either be another Subaru or an XC90.

Well, congratulations Ike! For the devious April Fools joke. I was going to congratulate you for the new RX8; after all, you are here for SOME reason, but thought I'd better wait for the outcome of this thread.
