You are a classy Guy!!! I also keep mine on white except when I drive at nite. If I have the lil lites on while driving in the daytime it is hard to see the red. Other times I forget t turn off the white at night, and I don't really mind, but turn the red on anyway. The red is SEXY!!

You can flip the gauge dimmer switch all the way up to prevent it from dimming in case you need it brighter.
Red and blue vs red and white with the lights on. I personally like the red and blue with the lights on because if you have a sec to watch the tach while driving, the red and blue make this beautiful motion blur visible.

There's no switch to go through the colors.. the 'red' is the color it turns when it's dimmed when the headlights are on. You can override the dimming by rolling the dimmer control all the way up and it switches back to white again. There's no way to get the dimmed/red display without having the lights on. With the lights off the dimmer control adjusts how bright the white display is.

I leave mine on red because as lame as it sounds I like the fact that all the dash lights match with the other lights on the doors, wheel and LED hud. Now, if switching the white on changed the other instruments to white then I would consider putting the white on. Since it is usually 1 or 2 am when I drive home from work the red and blue looks really cool when it is dark (IMHO). Kinda reminds me of the inside of a fighter jet at night.
