I miss a rear wiper , and door storage with a lid on would have been much better.

Hey, thanks for that!

The best convience by far would be to add cooling to the leather seats, and to place the switches for the seat warmers in a different location. The seat warmers are not needed in Texas.

Thermo-electric cooler for the cupholders to counteract the heating that the car does to my drinks.

NO auto headlights. I'd accept them only if they're easily disabled, otherwise I'd retrofit '04 '05 lights in.

Self cleaning tailpipes would be nice :p

A factory sound system on par with Volvo's premium system (10 speaker, dolby surround. best factory system I've ever heard).

Windows and a sunroof that does the same thing, or can be opened or closed via the key fob.

Express down is fine; express up is not such a safe thing. The first time you have one of your kids with his head out the window, playing with the buttons, and he hits the express up, you'll not be such a fan of the concept.

I hear ya, although a lot of automakers are starting to offer it with an included safety feature. That's what I meant.

The little thing that bugs me is fitting the key in the ignition especially at nite. It is buried behing the steering column. Why couldn't someone think of putting in on the dash where you can see it and you don't have to fumble around??? The other thing is that the stalks for the wipers and the lights stick out too far I'am forever hitting the stalks they should have been recessed a little more. The Air Conditioner really is an under acheiver compared to American Cars it really stinks!!! Thats it folks I hope the Mazda people are checking the board little things do make a difference!!!

Telescoping steering wheel
power seat for the passenger
2-4 gallon increase in the fuel tank
add another setting to the climate control system so I can cut the air off to the floor in the back and have more air flow at the feet of the driver and front seat passenger

I know a couple of these add weight. I'd trade that for the added range and comfort for the passenger ..... besides they can find a few hp to offset the weight gain.

My thoughts:

- The auto lights off feature is present in my Toyota Solara. I wish it was in the RX-8 too. I don't think Mazda even knows this concept. None of their cars (to my knowledge) has this ever.

- Express down and express up windows on both sides. There is a safety feature where the motor senses certain resistance and stops.

- A single button to open or close the rear lil windows. Not necessary but would be nice to have.

- The ignition key positioning is a mistake. Anyone who has tried getting in my car's driver's seat makes this comment, "Where is the ignition keyhole?" They should have made a camouflage door with safe lock on it if they really wanted to hide it. Sheesh.

- Bigger fuel tank (maybe, coz there might be trade offs to this)

- A/C is good ever since I insulated that rod above the engine. The interior fans are weak though. You really have to full blast it and not dual vent it in order to get a decent blow.

- The center compartment and cup holders should be switched. That way the center compartment opening is where your arm could rest while driving and the cup holders aligned to the back of our seats. Not too far like the rear cup holders.

- An MX-6 style Cup holder would be nice. You know, the one where it's like a small drawer to the left of the steering wheel. You pull it and it becomes a cup holder :D

- A real TPMS that makes you monitor the tire pressure on every wheel. This could be just an area in the center console screen where you press a button to switch through the four wheels and a number comes out to tell the pressure. This is good to determine if you have even pressure in all wheels without having to go out and measuring them one by one.

- A relocated ECU (RX-7 style), so that there wouldn't be any need for an ECU cooler, which CZ users have taken off in order to install the piggyback unit.

- ^^ I like the telescoping steering wheel. I envy my cousin's Accord for that.

- All lights to at least use LED except for the headlights in order to save us from replacing them with spares when they burn out.

- Bigger trunk opening. It's a big trunk already, it just needs to have a bigger opening to fully utilize its capacity.

-push button start. I know it is the mainstream thing to do know, but it is still cool.
-radio and climate control lights that can be shut off at night, like the new Saab, pretty cool when driving at night.
