I spent a good hour or so using Meguiars Compound, polish, and wax on the front end of the car, sadly it rained over night so I will take pics when its dry.

Xero, where did you get the LED's?
I want to change the running lights to LED's and the turn signals as well xD

eBay...you just gotta search and find some good ones from the bunch... just know they wont be bright enough for daytime unless you spend some good money on leds that are at least 5w

Sounds good man,
so in terms of watts 7w is brighter than 5w, correct?

yes... my 7w fogs are much too bright to use as turn signals or brake lights... 3w for brake, turn, and reverse lights should be more than enough... 5w would be pushing it... ill get a video of my 7w fogs tonight

a friend of mine has some either 5w or 7w reverse bulbs... he says its blinding (which it is) and you cant look at the car at night when their on..but lets say at least you will be able to see behind you when reversing without any issue.. lol

I didn't do anything to my 8 today. What I did though was order her a set of NGK wires, since my current set weren't replaced along with the coils and plugs last change. Car is running great on original wires, but I rather play it safe and change them now.

Drove from Los Angeles to San Diego and back, then to Fontana and back... Averaged 75-85 mph and got an overall high(22 mpg).

I tried to fix my left tail light. The running lights, the tail and brake light don't work. All of the connectors look just fine but I went ahead and cleaned them anyway but it still doesn't work.

No, I took the I-5 to 805 down to Chula Vista the 405 back to LA. Then 101-137 -210 the next day to Fontana. I got the same mileage at 75-80 mph when I was going 60-65 mph respectively.

Changed my oil and cleaned my maf

Ended up stabbing the filter with a screwdriver to make it come off, any help on a perfect tool for the job?

filter wrenches are useless and i used a clamp thing that goes on the end of your wrench but that broke

It's always good to just hand tighten it.

I drove my 8 through the first heavy snowfall. I was a bit nervous at first but was surprised to see I had no problems when other cars had many. It's amazing to me what a good pair of snow tires can do for a RWD sports car. The only thing that set off traction control was intersections with large slop build-up. I could feel the back end sliding but traction control came on and id quickly recover. Tires never spun starting at intersections. im very impressed. Abs works great too. Lovin the 8!

I use one of the filter caps that go on a socket wrench. I forget the exact size but it fits K&N and OEM filters fine for my 05. I put the cap on along with the universal joint and an extension and just go very slowly. That was the key for me. Trying to force it fast the cap just slips all over the filter. But once I started going slowly making sure the cap stays straight on the filter I was able to loosen the dealer jobs. Using a longer wrench up top for more torque will also help you go slowly without losing the torque. But then again, if some1 saw me using a cheat bar over a ratchet over a filter cap over an oil filter I'd probably get made fun of =/, but whatever makes it easier right?

Hey you don't know me my name is David and I'm new to the club but I had to ask when I seen your pic, is that a set of OZ david wheels on your car?

Yeah, they are O.Z. David wheels. They were the cheapest set on tire-rack for the winter tires I wanted. I actually just wanted steel wheels but they werent available in the size i wanted. Is there something wrong with O.Z. David? Bad quality or something?

No not that I know of, was interested in how you like them. I am a huge OZ wheel fan (mainly because F1 uses them) and I was thinking about a set for my 8 plus how sweet is it to have your name on your wheels.

lol thats true. that would be sweet. After some research it looks like OZs make some pretty strong lightweight wheels great for racing. Do I like mine? Oh yeah I actually like how they look, but I liked the price even better. They are not winter wheels in the least. Tire-rack actually called me and told me not to expect the finish to look nice for long if I drive these through slop. I wash my car frequently to get salt off, and I also am not so concerned about how my winter wheel set looks.

But for the purpose they are intended for; Summer/Track driving, I'm sure they're great. Not to mention they came with a free set of chrome locking lug nuts. I'm not sure if that's standard but hey I'll take em.
