What did you do with your RX8 today?

... Nothing amazing. Just re-attached the exhaust hanger that was bugging me. Oh, and removed all the fruity neon lights (sorry previous owner) ... Anyone want to buy some rice? ... ( don't ask what color or I'll just shake my head at you) lol only kidding.

I have an air filter ready, & another MAF sensor cleaning planned soon.
Will clean & treat my plastic covers, & clean exposed engine bay areas.

lol Thank you for replying. Giving everyone who comes here everyday a hard time. Got tired of seeing my call sign being last one from a few days ago. Jus did some preventative maintainance to the CHMSL A.KA. 3rd brake light (points for someone who knows the meaning of "CHMSL") which is not technically not considered as, for the 8. Finished up cleaning the rice off the flowmaster exhaust tips (didn't even know they weren't stock w all the paint.) a little more cleaning due there but until I get some more supplies, Ill have to call it a day on that. Greased the steering u-joints. Next project, cleaning up the oil coolers. "Today was a good day." -Craig A.K.A Ice Cube

Oh and took a nice winding drive for lunch and some moron in a Civic thought he was "fast" with is half painted rice and added fartcan/melon shooter . . . unfortunately for him the road was not very straight and I was able to maintain a good speed while he was not . . . when I came up on him and passed him, you could hear him hammer it, then you could hear him push is front tires around the next bend, then you couldnt hear or see him anymore lol.
I wasn't racing just fyi, I just go there a couple of times every month to stretch the cars legs and curve speed limit is between 15 and 30mph, I am sure you all know how fast you can drive around those curves!

planning on doing the same thing here in the near future. My GF thought she was cruising in a 4x4 and decided to rip off the front lip and under tray. Out of pure laziness waiting for another member here to give me dimensions so I can just "cut and paste." Finished product looks really clean! Just about done straitening out the oil cooler fins. Ill post "used and improved" pix later

I had planned to post some pix of the before and after of the oil coolers. After resizing, they were still too big. Pictures really didn't do um any justice anyhow. looks pretty crappy but I am happy w the results I know that even though functioning they now will have better air flow and in turn cooler oil. Could I also say the job doubled as a weight reduction as well? haha Had to have rid a couple pounds of bugs, rocks, and twigs. lol... Ok, I'm probably exaggerating quite a bit. Probably, at best, only a couple ounces, (ok maybe even as little as grams lol) but hey, Im happy cuz I know the flow will be beneficial. Bout to call it a night at least for the 8. Mas limpo aqui. Buenos noches

Busy weekend for me. Installed a BHR ignition system and new NGK plugs, and while I was tinkering in the wheel well decided to do ASH's DIY oil cooler airflow mod. After getting my car back from the dealer for warranty-related transmission work and a clutch job two week's prior (thank you Galpin Mazda) the car is feeling amazing.
