"Short service roads where 90 isn't a problem" - where the heck are those? You must live around some wide open spaces?
I'd say I shift at 4500-5000, but rely more on the feel of the car and the road more than anything else. It probably see's redline in 2nd a few times every time I drive it. I really can't take it into redline much more than that becuase of Chicago traffic, or because in some cases the roads aren't in good enough condition.

Was at SMU for some college tennis matches like 4 years ago...not since, though.
Always wanted to go to San Antonio, every one tells me it's really nice. Fort Worth...I do a fair amount of dealings with BNSF railway but haven't bothered to make a trip down there.

*hit Red Devil with a chair*
I live in Fort Worth and work on the west side where it's literally borderline country. The roads out here are long and straight without much going on around them... yet. I give it a couple years and I'll have to find some new places to drive.

I haven't pushed mine that hard yet, though I've gotten close.

The areas where I usually roam there really isn't the room to hit 90mph that often, too many pedestrians running into traffic from out of nowhere...and no need to be a lemming and hit me with a chair like what RSD always does...be original, I think a barstool could be leveraged quite well also...
How does the saying go? "Dallas is where the East ends, and Fort Worth is where the West begins."
