I like it, but I also don't like it. I like the fact that they made improvements to the car, but I don't like that it will become more popular due to the improvements. Personally, I would get the older version even if they weren't planning on making the newer version. But some people would get it just because they made the improvements. I chose the Rx-8 because it's different from the rest. Also, hopefully the new version wont screw up the "I suck at straightaways but I'll eat you in corners" quote.

^^^ummm, unless this car sees significantly more power/torque and/or better fuel economy, it will definitely not become more popular. Eveyone on here obvoiusly knows about the car, but the general car buying public could care less about it.

well, on wikipedia is says a hp gain of 25, and a weight reduction of 350. and before that was edited, it said it would increase the mpg. i guess we'll just have to find out once the information gets released.

From what I've seen, the visual changes are slight and not much that I can truthfully call "improvements". More of a lateral shift. I like the current exterior more than the new version. I'm not too fond of the interior changes, although the seats are a definite upgrade.

There were no recalls for '07 (yet). I have a feeling that there will be recalls for '09.

I pretty much feel the same as above. I dont really see it as an improvement for the most part. The exterior changes I dont really care for. Recaro seats are great I had them on my last vehicle but other than that I dont really like the changes.

Well, it's not a "new" RX8, it's just refreshed with changes that'll likely amount to nothing of significance. Off the top of my head, I can't think of many cars that's gone longer with no changes - maybe the '03/4 to present S2000?

Recaro Seats and digital warm-up tach I like a lot. Also the R3 package seems very nice. Other than that, no big deal.
