I have a question on the opposite. If you bought a used 8 with a satin/chrome door how hard would it be to change it back? Making the assumption that the original door is gone.

Also strakes suck too . Another why have it item . QUOTE]

The first 8 I saw had them and I thought they were just part of the look- and I liked it! I think they might add a little drag if you are racing but the side windows would add much more... I like them because they hide the liitle bars behind the grill and they give a tiny amount of ding protection also silver looks good on blue with metal flake - I plan to add them just to finish the design - same as the rotary jewelry - think they should have included them like the car mats - Now if they just had a triangle door cover...

If your 8 has them already keep them - why mess up something that's a status symbol - it didn't hurt the sale when you got them- so whatever you got is OK -

The only other thing I have considered is a little subtle pinstriping just below the spoiler on the back - same design that mom got to put on her arm when she was trying to shock my-sister-the-troll when the troll said we needed a motorcycle and forbade mom to have a sports car. If she lived closer.............

Installing an OEM fuel door is easy. The tough part would be finding one. Maybe a junkyard or Mazmart (see Vendors).

Hideous. Absolutely hideous. Looks like the car has a big zit on its side.

You're forgetting that exterior chrome adds between 5-10 hp.

I thnk chrome gas caps are only looks good on roadster type of cars. and the gas cap has to be facing up.

and i guess for non roadsters, i like them on light colored cars.

Chrome is meant for jewelry that is meant to be worn inside your mouth.

To chrome or not to chrome, that is the question

It's art - it's a discussion of esthetics - we are speaking here of gilding the lilly-

of perfecting design perfection - have you no soul????
