what does this light mean........

i bought the car used so i dont have a owners manual...i notices what looked to be what can describe as a birdcage or coliseum looking light under the right side of the oil temp guage...can anyone tell me what that is...

Check to make sure your pistons are in good working order and that all 8 of them are there
