Oh yeah, mine had Rework #03F04, but no rotary accent package. (Not yet anyway, not until I buy 'em & put 'em on.)

Hi everyone,
I was reading this thread and decided to call Mazda today. Here's what they told me.
I have three port campaign stickers (all mechanically generated, i.e. not hand written) and my VIN is 2124. They are:
03F02
JX
07/19/2003
03F03
JX
07/19/2003
03F04
JX
07/21/2003
The really nice lady I spoke with at Mazda (800-222-5500) looked up my vehicle VIN and indicated three things that had been done in port. She could only tell me what they were in general, and could not correlate which port rework number each corresponded too.
She told me:
1) There was a replacement for the oil level dipstick. It was replaced in port with a correct dipstick.
2) There was an update to the warrantly booklet. She mentioned that they updated the warranty from 3/36 to 4/48 and that this was most likely because of that.
3) My car had some kind of, as she phrased it, "Door mirror rework." She said she did not have the specifics as to which side mirror it was or what was wrong or what they did, but assured me that it was not do to damage or anything like that.
FYIW, I also asked her if she was aware of rx8forum.com and if they (Mazda) were aware of the many people here that are concerned about the Dyno numbers to date. She assured me that she and Mazda in general were aware of the situation and were investigating it. That they were very concerned with the issue and would be addressing it soon. Not sure exactly what that means, but atleast they seemed concerned. Like I said, for what it's worth! :D

Most excellent info. Good job!
I hope they're being for real about the HP issue.
I only wish the mirror job were to install those lights in 'em...

Ooopps! :D
Your correct, my mistake! I'm so used to thinking 12,000 miles X number of years. The 50,000 mile Mazda warranty always throws me!
