What ECU flash are we on now?

What ECU flash are we on now?
Since it seems to happen often, why not throw a sticky up there keeping the members informed on new flashes. I think it's on the P flash now correct? Does that apply for auto's and manual tranny's as well?
Just want to make sure since having owned the 8 for a month now, the thing still seems pig rich with black soot covering the pipes. I'm used to that with my FD, but the 8 is even more so.

the newest flashes are the ones that came with the recall work for 2004 cars that is R for man and S for auto.
2005 cars have different nomenclature that i have posted here at least 4 times

Great stuff although a search for ecu or flashes didn't find them. Is the post buried in a thread that a person might not think it would be in? So basically, got a link to the post your referring to? Even with this thread it's obvious many don't know the status or nomemclature so why not make a sticky or an archive for it?
Thanks,
Tim

your fing kidding me. why not try looking at the recall information which is in a sticky.
first go here https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/ then click that sticky mark titled Sticky: Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and Recalls for RX-8
that takes you here https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/technical-service-bulletins-tsbs-recalls-rx-8-a-14453/ click the link in the first post.
that takes you here http://www.finishlineperformance.com...ins_index.html
click on the recall titled 2004-2005 RX-8 Thermal Damage Inspection / Repair Procedure and read it at least thru page 3 where it has a table titled calibration info

I should have posted again. I did a search for posts just by you and went through 3 pages worth posts by you (half of which were on the thread concerning "No 2006 model RX-8") just to get to the posts concerning the flash. Polak's thread and the other couple of threads were also found. Thanks though for the posts and links you listed above. I had went to the Rosenthal site before but didn't know it would be listed under there. Thanks again for the time and info you helped link me too. Although clicking on your link in the post above, doesn't work, it opens up a window "sorry no matches - try some different terms...nicely done
No thank you so much for playing.
