What a Find
I was shopping around to see if there was any place to buy Mazda RX-8 Accessories at a good price and the thought occurred to me to visit our old friends ad Trussville Mazda. (For those of you who own or have owned Miatas, you will know they have been a major supporter of Miata magazine and have always offered the best prices on Miata Accessories over the past years.) Well, low and behold, I found that they already have a nice website up where you can order Mazda RX-8 Accessories at Great Prices! Check them out at http://www.trussvillemazda.com/partsstore/ . Just select RX-8 in the Model box and click Go.
They post the list prices as well as their discount prices and have many RX-8 parts in stock now. I've already ordered mine and saved a bundle. Go give them a visit.:D :D :D

hmmm i wonder if i can order from them and have them delivered here at work........
I was able to order and have it shipped hereto my home. They will ship anywhere but I imagine you can do all right working for a dealership (or maybe not...). All I know is I saved a bundle because I ordered over $600.00 worth of stuff. The best I could do locally was a meager 10% which was offered begrudgingly after much pleading. This is the free enterprise system at its best at work.

some of their pricing seems to have been mixed up, for instance:
Front Sunshield
DESCRIPTION:
Front Sunshield. Protect the dash with this. Mazda listen to you and made this just for the RX-8.
PART NAME PART NO. OUR PRICE QTY
Front Sunshield 0000-8M-K02 $40.00
Retail Price: $31.20 - Our Price: $40.00
and also the wheel centers say sold as each for both styles but the "mazda emblem" ones show the price as:
Wheel Center with Mazda Emblem L082-37-192 $5.04
while the rotary ones show:
Wheel Center with Rotary Emblem F152-V3-825 $29.10
definetly good pricing though and probably the best we will find thanks Boo!

Great find, Boowana!
Somebody posted this one in the forum a few days ago -- another place to order RX-8 accessories:
Rosenthal Mazda in Vienna, VA
The prices aren't quite as good as Trussville, but it might be a better source for some of you.

Trussville have always done good prices, 'tis true. And since it wouldn't behoove Budaman to promote his own company's site, I'll do it for him... keep an eye on Mazdastuff.com - they don't have the RX-8 stuff online yet, but I'll wager their prices will be more than competitive.

Man I love this forum. I am used to usenet groups that are full of disgusting flame wars that get real personal. Here people help each other in so many ways it is amazing. I can hardly wait til people start getting there cars and discover some of the fun things we can do or add to our car to make it special.
I am interested in buying a bunch of accessories because I think they are cool, but I am a little wary. For example if I buy the fender strakes from Trussville, how do I install them? Do I have to drill holes in the fender or do they clip on? If they clip on, how do I make sure they don't fall off or get stolen? These may be dumb questions to those of you who have had some of these options before, but I can't be the only clueless one. One more question. How do you install the door guards and make them stay? Will they come off if they take an ugly hit?
I guess I'd like some close-up photos and info on how to install them. I am not afraid of doing a little work as long as I have good instructions. Sorry to be so long winded but this thread seemed as good as any to ask a few accessory questions. TIA for any helpful answers.

Good questions
Your questions regarding installation are good ones. I would suggest that when you order stuff, you can always phone rather than using the Internet and ask about installation instructions at the same time. I know Trussville have been very helpful in the past. Thier number is 800-240-2121.
I would not think that you will need to drill any holes and that installation will be quite straight forward but they will know. In the case of strakes, I imagine ithey replace the existing black piece in the fender that is standard.
Once people on this forum start receiving and installing things, I feel certain that they will post the "how to's" up here.:p

From what I understand, the following items are now available. Dealers might not have them in stock, but we can at least order them now.
Polished wheels, vent bezels, alum. foot rest, brake and accelorator pedals, shift *****,grill trim ring, night lights, window switch cover, rear door trim protectors, cargo net hardware(not the cargo net though),sill plates, exhaust finishers, fender strakes, all fog lights, valve stem caps and wheel centers. None of the other accessories have been set up in mazda's ordering system yet.
have fun accessorizing your cars!

Yes they have
I should start by saying I have no affilliation with Trussville other than to say they are obviously "on the ball!"
I spoke to the Parts Manager on Thursday and he told me they have a number of things in stock and available. I know I was able to order everything except for "color coded stuff" like Premium Carpeted Floor Mats. You can tell the accessories in the brochure that have color associated with them by the last two characters in the part number being shown as "-XX". That is where the color codes are added.
Here are the color codes you will need to add to match your car:
Titanium Gray - 01
Brilliant Black - PZ
Lightning Yellow - 93
Nordic Green - 97
Sunlight Silver - 67
Velocity Red - 87
Winning Blue - 84
I think there will be a huge rush on accessories once we get are cars and most dealers are "asleep at the wheel". That's why I went ahead and ordered all my stuff fromTrussville. They will arrive early next week before I will have my car so I will be ready.
Hope this helps.

I get the hint and I will be ordering the accessories that I did not order with the car on this coming Monday!!
Now I have another question. I ordered the Touring model which of course already comes with fog lights. I asked my dealer and got their okay in writing to order the blue tinted fog lights. Now upon reading this thread I fully appreciate the fact that blue tinted fog lights are a significant part in and of themselves (no easy changeout of the lenses) and they are not cheap. So does this mean I have to pay for the fog lights basically twice? I will not do that! I guess I am hoping they will come the way I requested from the factory but I doubt it because I don't see how my dealer can order it that way since the blue fog lights are not listed as an option--only as an accessory.
Any thoughts or opinions?

Charleston, check out this thread https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/got-my-accessories-6105/
You may be able to DIY. If nothing else ask the parts dealer if you can take a look-see at the parts and figure out yourself if the instructions are clear enough.

Guys, I just called these guys up and talked with one of the people there... I think we might all be able to get a discount if we order thru them being that I've got my own Mazda site, as well as being a mod here.
I'll keep you all posted.

I used to do this to my ol' Celica. Here's a link to how it's done on the Celica and I assume it'll be very similar on the 8:
