What glue did mazda use for there side skirt?

Seems my stock side skirts r coming loose. What brand of glue should i purchase to stick them back on? Was thinking gorilla glue? Or should i just take it back to the dealer although i doubt itll be under warranty. Thanx

Most likely the dealer will not fix it because they will say it falls under normal wear and tear. BS IMO.

So...normal wear and tear = my car is literally falling apart? I don't think so.... But either way, 3m is cheap

Well that is what they told me. I fought them on it but eventually gave up. Also my car is a 2004 and I showed it to them early 2006. Maybe it would be different if your car is not as old?

Dam.... thats alot of steps and seems rather confusing and labor intensive. Id rather pull the motor. Ill just get some liquid nail or 3m dual sided tape. Thanx for the link though.

dude, don't really use double sided tape or liquid nail. They were just messing with you.

actually, double sided tape is used quite often on body kits. wings west kits come with double sided tape already on the pieces. it is quite strong and durable if applied correctly

True, double sided tape can be very adhesive and last a long time. But there is a difference between a body kit that is specifically designed around the tape itself and an OEM part that is designed to be bolted. I'm not saying that it won't work, but there is a very good chance that it will become loose in the future and fall off.

And 3M tape is ok, but trust me, it's not great in certain environmental situations (rain, etc).

yeah, you are right, whole side skirts, bumper lips, etc are certainly going to be lighter than the aero accessories on the rx8, which are what, 1.5 feet long tops. and i guess you need to let the ventshade company know how bad their product is going to work using that 3m double sided tape to hold it to the outside of the window frame, might save them lots of money on lawsuits for faulty product design.
