My Titanium Grey .. ah .. they said 'the new James Bond car???" .. Yeah, the Ashton Martin that appeared in the last Bond movie ... that's why I didn't get the rear spoiler. Just my personal preference. I want to be Bond .. and not fast and furious ... ahha :D

My neighbour calls it a Mazdarati. :D

I call him Batman since all his cars are black, and he has a yellow bat sticker on them.

In addition to some of those listed above, my 8 has also been mistaken for a 350Z. -_-;;; Probably just because most of them around here are also grey.

No one thinks the RX-8 is a faster car than the Viper.
I think anyone who says this is either stupid or jealous. How does the car you drive have any correlation between the size of your *****? People buy the cars you like, and when you got money you can afford the more expensive cars you like. If you were a millionaire and you liked the Lamborghini Gallardo and could afford to buy it no worries you probably would go buy one, and that makes your ***** small how??? A lot of wealthy people I know don't buy expensive cars to show off or look cool they buy them because they like them, just like you bought an RX-8 because you liked it.

Hmm...I love my RX-8 but if I had the cash a black Viper SRT-10 would be sitting in my garage for sure. 500bhp, 525 lb. ft. of torque, and my girlfriend isn't complaining about my size.

Hey, don't look at me. I'm not the one who came up with it, nor am I the one who even mentioned it first. I don't think anyone really believes it anyways. It's just a stereotype that's obviously not going to be true if the person is rich. It's mostly sour grapes though there *MIGHT* be some truth in it if someone who can barely afford a big *** expensive truck/suv or expensive sports car gets one.

I bet most people here would be getting a different car if they had a lot more money to spare.

I for one know that the 1.3L engine allows for more space for my **** to rest in the engine bay. It starts getting tighter with anything bigger that a 3.5L... .

To answer the topic at hand. I was stopped at a light one day and a woman did ask me if I had the car custom made. I told her there was a Mazda dealership down the street with a few more if she wanted to check the car out!

Mazda must design all the cars since every Mazda looks like a "mini viper". Turbo IIs, 3rd gen RX-7s, Miatas all look like mini vipers. I don't think the RX-8 could even come close to looking like a viper but so many people in this thread have called it "the mini viper".

Unless you equate expensive to exotic, the RX8 is very exotic. It is the only production car in the world with a rotary engine.

That depends. Ferrari owners around here have em strictly for image purposes. They know squat.

I was on a date a couple of months ago with a girl. I picked her up in the 8, she jumped in and said....nice corvette !! Then she proceeded to remove her shoes, cross her legs and put her feet on the seat!!!

First and last date with her!! I can't even remember her name!! Nice!!
