So I got another email from Hiley mazda of hurst, this time it was from Jason Hiley himself (owns 5 dealerships in the family) He said that corprate is giving him some money and that they are offering really good deals to select customers. He can only sell 30 cars at this price and only between 6-9 on friday and this deal is not open to the public....

Well I am a curious bugger as always (with a healthy dose of skeptism smelling a pile a crap on this one)

So I told him I would be interested in an 09 Rx 8 Touring- moonroof, rear spoiler and appearance package for 20k. Invoice according to Kelly BB is around 28k for that car and I've seen them do 5k cash back etc on other cars....

So what do the rest of you think about all this?

Oh also told him 19k on an cx-7 with a moonroof and KBB invoice listed it at 24k

i would hate having another car payment again. but, i do like the R3 or 2009 GT... for me, i would be willing to pay $5K tops, considering i only have 7300 miles on my 05. but, the KBB on this car is so low, that will never happen.

 

Some dealership in my area is offering me CX-7 for 19K with 0% apr.

but why would I want another car? ~~~

for Rx-8 R3. hmm, do it for like 5K under invoice.

That'd be a great price, but I don't think you're going to get it. And I don't buy his pitch, either.

 

I've seen those so-called "special customer" treatment letters before. It's marketing crap. They will entertain and will sell you any car for the right price irregardless if you are a select customer or some joe public who strolled into the store. Deal is a deal. Money talks, BS walks.

 

I get the same letters from dealerships all the time. Even ones I've never bought a car from. 20K for an touring 8? Good luck.

 

Yeah, I know I prob wont get a touring 8 for 20k.... but dang it sure doesnt hurt to try At least I set some some boundaries up front and told them what it would take, worst that happens is I say no and walk! But hey if some miracle of God happens and I do get it heck yeah!

In the meantime I will continue to enjoy my 05! Hey might even work out better and I wait to upgrade till the new model comes out.

 

If you went, all these shady car sale men would be all over you like hungry wild dogs. :P And they're gonna pull good saleman/bad saleman on you...

 

I also get letters like that all the time. It's trick to get you in the dealership. 20k for 09 touring no way. Besides there're no rebates on 09 rx8's at 27k.

 

I never get letters from any dealers...everyonce and a while i get one from a dealer that fixed my car but i never get warranty letters or anything....but i would go 4 it
