Has 18" wheels, sunroof, and cloth interior : Touring

There are other aspects to each trim level, but these will identify which one he has.

The Base 6spd had halogen lights and no DSC/TC.
Sport had DSC/TC and Xenon lights

If it has a sunroof, it will be Touring or Grand Touring. Depends on the interior being cloth or leather.
How about showing us some pictures of the exterior and interior, and we can tell you what it is?

I never knew I have a Touring...
16's looks small for the rx8, from my perspective.

No such thing as a mazdaspeed 8. Any model (whether top spec or bog standard auto 4port) can come with mazdaspeed parts as extras when bought from a dealer brand new

Technically there was, sort of, in Canada. But really it was just a dealer made model.
But it was all fluff and no substance. And the "mazdaspeed" wheels narrower than stock Sport wheels, 18 x 7 IIRC.

My car was sold new with a few mazdaspeed goodies (flywheel and other random things). Just extra things you could choose when bought new.
They weren't tuned (if you mean ecu tuning)

Yeah, we have a local guy who bought his RX-8 new (for close to $50,000.00 IIRC, I remember seeing it on the showroom floor when I bought mine) back in 04' and it has almost every single Mazdaspeed part an accessory (body kit, spoiler, CF interiors pieces, coilovers, flywheel, clutch, strut bars, MS catback, and even the rare Magnesium Mazdaspeed wheels) and the dealer he bought it from (same dealer as me) I think advertised it as a Mazdaspeed RX-8. In his case I thought it was appropriate since it had every part in the catalog. I have never seen another one like it in person.
His interior is even custom, even the knee pad
But back in the day when mine was stock I was running faster 1/4 mile times at our local drag strip

That is what I was told, I have no clue if they actually are or not but he is not the lying type. He never drives it anymore (never really did ever since he had a truck), he has a Camaro or some **** now.
