here's my rim story (and im stickin to it )

when i first bought the car, i really loved the stock rims...i have a shinka so they came polished and had a really nice look....i swore i would never buy new rims...

as time went on and i started modding the car, going to meets and shows, i got bit by the rim bug...

my criteria where as follows:

1. since i already had 18s, i was not gonna spend lots of $ on the same size...i opted for 19s cuz 20s were just too big...
2. looking at color - what goes with black cherry - to me, gold or bronze...so thats what i had in mind
3. price - TRY not to spend more than 400 per rim...

so the rims i liked were the Enkei in bronze, Gram lights in gold and the Axis hiro in bronze..

Enkeis didnt come in 19...SOL there
Grams didnt come in 19...SOL there
Axis Hiros...found out the bronze was discontinued...

so i called axis just to see if there were any around still...no one else i called had them.... Axis has 3 in stock 19x8.5 only...so the staggered look was out of the question....they found the 4th rim at a distributor and the rest is history...

i dont think 5 spoke rims will ever be played out for the 8....
i like euro rims like the BBS but dont think they look well on the 8...

ended up putting Toyo Proxes T1Rs and of course, had to lower it with Tein S techs to complete the look....

hope i wasnt too verbose

PS....and AXIS rims take the TPMSs

lots of rims will accept them....there is a very long list on the forum somewhere!

what is wrong with an even number of spokes? balance and what not or do you mean aesthetically?

The latter. Even numbers of spokes tend to look less dynamic than odd numbers of spokes. It's a general rule, but there are some exceptions.

BTW, don't take this to mean that a 5-spoke design with split spokes, which technically means there's 10 spokes, fits into the above category.
