What should I do to my 8?

I have a 2004 lightning yellow rx8, and I want to do some stuff it but i don't know what to do, I want to put a cf hood on it and new spoiler, I actually wanted to paint it but I have no money for anything big right now so can I get some "cheap" but not ricey, upgrade ideas. Thanks

What's your budget looking like right now? Carbon fiber hoods aren't exactly cheap (Seibons start at roughly $600). You can get some pretty nice spoilers in the ~400 range, though I think the Mazdaspeed one looks the cleanest, and that's a bit more expensive.

Cheaper mods could include clear corners, window tint, or eyelids. I could give better suggestions if I knew how much money you plan on working with.

That's such a wide-open question and will garner wide, subjective opinions. Just start poking around on here, and something will catch your eye. When it does, start honing down to the threads that get more specific. I did lowering springs/koni yellow shocks and strakes off the bat.

Depends on what you want to spend. Go with clear corners and eyelids like Grog said and if you want to spend a little more lower it.

How about washing and waxing it? Not expensive, but a much more personal experience than bolting on some dress-up stuff.

Ask yourself whether you want:

1. looks?
2. sound?
3. sound system?
4. performance?
5. handling?
6. driver mod?

I want everything in the long run, performance, looks, sound, everything but I don't want the looks to be ricey; Like decals and a 2 foot high spoiler, I just want it to look clean and race-looking. I don't know if that makes sense, I think I'm going to put clear corners on first, something little but still noticable. I also put a new alpine header in there, so I guess I'm going for looks first then performance. Thanks guys

No money? Don't waste any on upgrades, save for the inevitable repairs that come with any used car and this one probably more than most. If you insist, a set of good 6x9 rear speakers for ~$120 has probably upped my enjoyment factor more than any of the ~$2000 in various other mods I've done. Buy the mods for 1/2 price used in the for-sale forum or from craigslist and save all the stock parts. It's a great handling car stock and pretty impossible to up the standard power without going to a ~$5000 turbo. Otherwise, spend your spare cash on girls and beer like nature intended.
