You live in a state where buying winter tires is a necessity. I got through our NJ winter last year on the Stock tires. it wasnt fun, but I got through it. Just drive alot more cautiously. Not everyone has an extra $1200 for a set of winter rims and tires. If there's a snow storm, i'd rather not drive. simple as that.

Quick question do you have the stock rims? and if you do, do you plan on 225 or 245 width tires? i bought some toyo proxies 4 during the summer but i was in korea during the time so my dad bought them and had them installed for me but those guys that talked to my dad said 245 wouldnt fit on stock rims, did anyone tell you that? and if you bought your tires already then i hope you like them, but my personal suggestion is that if you want long life the proxy 4's are good for that but their sidewalls get really stiff when hot so it understeers alot (maybe its just my driving style) but if you want long lasting tires then get them. if you want performance get some yokohama tires they're good, my cousin has them on his hachi (ae86) and he really likes them. i'm planning on getting them as soon as i burn the rest of these toyo's off. good searching
