Welcome to the club.
K&N is short ram.

I would suggest you learn to dive the car fist before doing anything else.
Go to a couple of autocrosses, or track days. Learn what the car is capable of then modify it accordingly.

First thing everyone should invest in is driving lessons. No, really.........high performance driving lessons. It makes me giggle to see how many people throw tons of money away on performance mods when they can't get anywhere near the max of what the car in complete stock form can deliver in the first place. I raced cars and karts for years (yes, I am old), and proper capability is the key to most fun per dollar invested.

where can i go to take lessons and about how much do they cost? i was told by the person who previously owned my 8 i should get the HKS Legamax exhaust kit

I posted a similar thread a few weeks back, asking about doing exhaust or body kit next.. and got a lot of responses about the RP short shifter.

So, after doing some searching on the forums, I followed the GREAT advice on here and got the RP shifter, just installed last night, and all I have to say is PURE SEX. If you enjoy driving your car at all, this should be your first mod.

Seriously.
