And here’s them turned off.
What do you all think? I know I could have bought bulbs but from Mazda they cost 200 bucks :-\
Now I’ve considered selling this tint but the install is well complicated involving hair dryers and tolerance to hot surfaces :p
Gimme your opinions!

I think that looks great! It drives me crazy when I see my reflection with the standard yellow fogs, and the HID headlights. But I'm too cheap to buy the mazda bulbs.
BUT, I've already got a hairdryer and high tolerance to heat. Sign me up!

I wanted tinted foglights at firstalso until I realized that the Rx8 foglights already look blue when you see the frontof the car coming at you at night from 15 feet away or more. I dont have any pics toprove it but I see more Rx8s on the road at nightdown here than during the day and every singleone always looks like it has 4 blue tinted lights when its reallyjust the HID headlights that are tinted. I guess this is b/c of the angle that the HIDs hit the road and get reflected on the fogs. Im sure that having actual tinted fogs though will look even sweeter.

Ill have instructions up soon far as I know you can't demount the foglights without demounting the whole front bumper so these are installed on the exterior of the foglight.
Those worried about the durability this material is mixed with taffy like vinyl so rocks will break your foglight b4 they rip the tint.
If you can find bulbs that will work in an rx8 for under 200 bucks direct me.
And foglight look yellow not blue from a distance, this is more evident when you look at the light cast by them on your wall I’ll take a picture of this looks like after the tint is installed.

Just change the H11's to HIDs. It gives the exact same look when the lights are on, and doesn't change the appearance when turned off. 20$ and 5-10 minutes of your time. Much better IMO. But if you prefer this road, I must say, Polak did a good job with it.

When lookingat them from my rear and sideview mirrors coming up behindmy car they all look blue. I will try toget a pic or maybe tiny video clip takenof mine to show you this effect that I always notice. Again it doesnt really matter. Having real blue fogs is better than having fogs that only look blue from afar. Alsoif you have that other fog light mod that letsyou turn on the foglights w/o turning on the headlights then the blue fogs will look even better.

HID's for fogs are a bad idea, as are blue-tinted bulbs:

And I have no idea why you would take LIGHTS, whose goal is to put out LIGHT, and make them DARK by tinting them. Fog lights can help you see the lines of the road in inclement weather... (or you can run them just when it's dark for the bling factor )

Interesting article however we are going for the "bling" factor as you put it.
And as many of you have noticed you can hardly tell when your fogs are on eh?
So anyone for $20 HID's and how to install them without taking off your front bumper.

well, I meant hyperwhite bulbs. whatever. but yes, you don't have to take the bumper off to change them. it takes 10 minutes, probably less if you jack your car up:
this is what needs to be done...you have to unscrew 3 screws from under the car...they keep that plastic guard in place...1 is a plastic screw and the other 2 are metal...you don't need to take the entire thing off, just enough to get your hand in there...i suggest you wait until the car is cool as you may brush up against some really hot pipes back there...
then you can basically reach straight up, undo the connector and twist the H11 out...it's REAL easy once you know what to do, which is go from under the car...i tried vehemently going from the side of the foglight to the top but it's damn near impossibly as you'd have to have really small hands and wrists
