Kansas City MO to Jackson MS for the Super Street Tour in 2004. I got about 24 MPG. At one point I was doing 100-110 MPH for about 2 hours straight.

745 Miles

I did a 475-mile loop a couple of weekends ago. Only time the poor car has been out of King & Pierce Counties. Took WA410, Chinook Pass (snowing!), down into Yakima, had lunch. Took US97 over Satus Pass to the Columbia, then WA14 to the Wind River Highway at Carson. What a great ride on that up to the Forest Service roads East of Mt. St. Helens. From there, it was back via Morton, Elbe, Eatonville and suburbia. All just for fun. No freeway driving.

Honestly, before that trip, I was not sure I liked the RX-8 enough to keep it long-term. The power delivery, handling, brakes and overall balance made a believer out of me that day.

Haven't driven more than 150 miles, but we have a trip from San Diego to the Bay Area coming up. The RX-8 vs airline debate is currently on ... you know which side I'm on! Especially if we can hit Hwy 1 in either direction!

Cool, a Washington RX8 owner. I did the run to the Gorge this Summer - had a blast at the CaveB Winery. :D
