i think you really are just trying to find an excuse to pick up another car, the whole $750 'beater' is just a cover; you want a nice late model AWD sedan, that's what you really want lol
lol, if I was rich I would drive both. lol.

But I nearly get knocked off the road daily by people merging just on my rive to work every morning, i drive a clover leaf set up where no one cares about anyone else and if they can see I have a feeling the would hit me very quickly, especially with everyone being soo much taller they don't bother looking down from there SUVs.

I'll sell you my civic for $550. Best winter car i've ever owned... you wont care if u smash it up, it has good tires on it now, but the first time i had it in the snow it was the biggest snowstorm of the season and i didnt put winter tires on yet.. you could see the belts coming out the side of the tires i had on there

long story short i was passing cars on a hill that were getting stuck and sliding backwards... i think the belts gave added traction with the sparks

just another idea for you Ti8omgwee, for our Northern VA winter climate, a light fwd car with snow tires will also work perfectly fine, that should open up a whole lot more options within the $1000-$1500 beater category

I'm thinking older Proteges and Corollas... those are really reliable and cheap now.
