I almost freaked for a second there Mr. USC. You are back east. The west coast dealers will have their 1st cars by the end of June.

 

Sorry for the confusion, like I said it's all dependent on how long it takes for the vehicles to go from Tacoma to the dealer. Obviously East Coast dealers are going to take a little longer than those of you near WA (I'm curious if anyone on here is in Florida and can tell me what timeframe they're looking at). We're hoping the first vehicles will get here (Cincinnati) a couple of weeks early, it doesn't take three/four weeks to ship a car from the port.

 

Actually, the first cars to attain the status of "on water" were all slated for east cost dealers - Atlanta, Savannah Georgia, Virginia, Pennsylvania. It wasn't until about 5 days later a car hit 'on water' status slated for a west coast destination. The best I can tell from reading shipping related posts is that the east coast cars have approximately 16 - 18 days longer of a trip which makes up for the head start. I believe Mazda is doing the best they can to get have the first arrivals at dealerships throughout the country arrive at about the same time. Even in a perfect world this wouldn't be possible because of all the variables involved with delivery just from the port locations. Mine is slated for 7/6 arrival at port, week 3 delivery - even though I'm pretty literal and **** retentive it isn't clear to me that even if 3rd week comes to fruition if that means 7/14 or 7/18 or even 7/21 (the last day of the 3rd set of 7 days in July). But one thing is clear - today it's closer than it was the last 3 years!

 

rx8daniel, you seem to have a pretty good idea on when your first allotment is coming. Do you have any idea on the 2nd allotment? How far apart the 1st and 2nd shipments will be? When they will be at the dealership? I know this 1st boat(s) are of a priority, but us poor saps in the 2nd (or even 3rd) allotment want some love, too .
