Where are the awesome white RX-8s?
I hardly see any FS online. I'm wondering if there's any particular reason for this, seeing that white (in general) is the best selling color. IMHO, a white RX-8 with the rear spoiler is awesome looking.

Yeah, I admit this was kind of stupid first thread. I'm not really that idiotic, I was just measuring the RX Club's STI (ST for short). It's a bit higher than TCL's according to my algorithm, but it's still pretty decent. I love the controversial character of the 8; it breeds controversy and discussion because it has a split personality. It's a real sports car but it doesn't go very fast a lot of the time. That's an annoying contradiction for many drivers, but not for me. I'm just starting my search...PM going out to rglbegl.

Silver is cool (too cold for me) and (titanium) gray is great. RX blue is a loser for me, sorry. Why white? I haven't figured that out yet, it just works. Like black for my E30 coupe and dark blue on my V6 Accord. It's all subjective, it doesn't matter. Oh, and the RX red definitely rates.

This is gonna sound funny but I was at the dealer last month looking at the 09 models. They had a pearl white GT that had everything I wanted except that I originally wanted a red one. I was gonna just have them order one for me when they offered to cut a deal if I would take the white one off their lot. I was about ready to pull the trigger on the deal but I consulted with my wife and she said "what the $%@ are you doing? Sports cars are supposed to be red! Get the red one!". Today I'm the proud owner of a 09 VR GT.

Red = ticket getter and i don't want people looking at me especially those with badges and guns.
Black= key me and key me NOW shows dirt, dust, swirl marks, looks hot when wet. Stealth fighter look, bad-*** at times then you have to clean it again.. No one sees you at night, You WILL burn your hand in the summer time.. radiates heat like nobody's business.
White = kinda feminine and too refrigerator white, curves get lost
Winning Blue = meh.. if it was such a winner, why did it go bye bye?
Phantom Blue = rare and cool could be feminine though
Silver= Sleek, sophisticated can get lost in the crowd see red for a good reason to get this color.. can be difficult to find
Grey = lost in the crowd, curves of the car get lost as well, galaxy looks purplish at times, see silver for good reason to get lost. Seems to be the most popular color sold. Looks better on the mazda3 imho...
Nordic Green.. looks like black, same problems as black, historically an unlucky color for a sports car. Looks rugged, would have been better as a non metallic.. Why so Shiny??
Yellow.. See Red.. you will have a hard time trying to sell this car in this color. You think Red gets attention.. HA! There a reason why yellow cars are the least stolen color.. Cops and everyone else will see you a mile away. And you will look at this color every morning.... bleh..
Copper Red.. very nice, looks pimpish with the light color interior.. not really an aggressive colors so why is it on a sports car?
Black cherry.... Unless you are getting a Shinka 2005 model forget this color. Same deal as black though..
Stormy Blue... Same problems as black.. a rich deep color.. not really sporty, different though..
just my humble opinion, your opinion may vary

He also forgot the 40th anni "Metropolitan Grey Mica". It's actually a sharp paint job. Similar to Shinka Black Cherry, it has dramatic color change depending on the lighting. But i guess when you simplify it, it's just grey.
"key my car winning blue" had me cracking up.
"Velocity Red" should be renamed "Pull my *** over red".
Black Cherry Red FTW!
