decap is definitely a stretch. But it can cause damage - especially if it is unsecured.

You don't need to decapitate, just slice deep enough to sever a jugular vein or carotid artery. Or give your attractive passenger an ugly facial gash.

C'mon, the trunk's not that far away.

if the cops weren't so bad around here i would just tuck it in the glove compartment. however, the cops here just look for things to ticket for and don't even let other cops go. i've just been too lazy to go over to the dealership and ask for the bracket.

^ just use the seat pouch. The only cops to worry about are the ones standing on the side of the road. You should be able to see those and just pop it on the dash. Frankly, you should know where those spots are in the first place if you've been living where you are for any decent length of time. If the dash is good enough, chances are just having it close to hand will be enough for the cop.

I actually had a cop wave me over & then tell me he pulled me over for no front plate. Sent me on my way after agreeing the plate would ruin the look of the front end, and said the dash is ok - after watching me put it right back in the seat pouch.

On the shelf in the garage. The front looks to nice without it.
I got a ticket for doing 130 in a 70 and he didn't care that I had no front plate. He said I should go to jail but gave me a break and wrote it for 120. $500 down the drain.

Just make sure you have it on if you come to Williamson County, TX. These asses will pull you over for it, and then look for something else.

I put suction cups through the holes and just mounted it on the upper right side of the car (if looking straight at it). I saw a Mazda3 like that. Haven't been stopped yet *Knocks on wood*

one $60 ticket for no front plate (regardless of good excuse) was enough to get my plate on the front. Can't beleive anyone would slide a metal plate on the dash or suction cup it to the windshiled rather than put it on the front end.

I would rather have the rest of the world see it than have it scratch the dash or hang off the window.

Besides, our states plates are Red and gold which actually looks good with Velocity Red.

It doesn't block airflow. The top 2/3 of the front grille is solid plastic. Cooling air comes from underneath the front bumper. The problem is just appearance.
