I generally keep my oil in my garage. If going on a long trip I'll put a quart in the passthrough compartment. I keep a quart bottle of MMO (for premix) in there full time, with several shop towels to prevent rattling and absorb any drip.

I have three quarts in the trunk...my 8 came with one of those trunk mesh bags that go across horizontally, so I can just leave it in there and not worry about any rattles.

I keep mine in the trunk for the reason of....sometimes I just go for a drive and you never know where the he** i'll end up and sometimes it's hard to find the right weight/brand you prefer at gas stations! So I always have some just incase i'm feeling like driving and end up 1000 miles away!!!ha

This is what i did. I have the cargo net and took 2 zip ties and made a little sleeve to put the oil container in so no matter how fast i take the turns the oil container will never fall over. I always keep oil in the trunk you never now when you are going to need to add more oil

oil costs an arm and a leg at gas stations too. I have been charged $5 for a quart at a gas station.

OMGWTF !!!!!
you guys are so **** . The 8 uses stuff all oil . I've owned piston cars that use more . I buy 5 litres of oil when I do a change . I use the litre left over at the change to top up , then when it's down to the low again I change the oil . So my oil change period revolves around how much oil it has used . Granny driving - does not get changed much . Track driving -gets changed often.

same here, if you check your oil at a set interval (i do mine every 1500 miles or so), there's no need to carry any oil in the car.

I just keep a bottle or two in the cargo net in my trunk. I don't have to add oil enough to worry about keeping it with the motor. I have to usually add a quart after about 2,000 miles.

I usually just leave them in the garage, and top off the car to just above full if I'm going on a longer trip.

I have actually fabricated an I.V. drip to the oil tank so it gets a continous dose that never gets below full. The bag hangs from my rear view mirror, and it has a carbon fiber outer shell fitted with mad tight LED's yo.

At home in the garage. I check it BEFORE I drive away. Car is cold oil has settled in the pan. No sticking hands in hot areas. No messy oil bottles and funnels lying in the car.
Life is good.
