Anywhere one would normally find any other used car.

Note that any RX-8s repurchased by Mazda will likely not be available to the general public as used cars, but will instead be offered at a discount to Mazda NA employees (this is what they did with repurchased Miatas.)

Mazda North America employees are just waiting on the buy back cars. They are not able to purchase the 8's under the employee discount program until later in the year.

You'll be able to find used RX-8's at any place you find other used cars. In 6-8 months, not sooner.

The RX-8's involved in the buyback program will not be sold by dealers to the general public, they will be sold by Mazda corporate to Mazda employees.

I wonder how much the Mazda employees will get the cars for? I'd imagine that it would probably be way under invoice since they are used and they probably get new cars at invoice or less when new anyway. So if they get the car for ~$25k give or take a $1k, that's well worth it! So they may be waiting for the buyback cars, but it's only cause they'll get them really cheap.

Although if I was a Mazda employee, I'd be cautious if the price wasn't really, really good, since some of the buyback cars are probably going to be rung out for that last month of ownership. Not that I would do it if I knew I was getting rid of my car.:D

I noticed last week that the local Mazda dealer had two RX-8s show up with sooty tails, broke in tires and re-taped torn window stickers. The RX-8s had no 'used car' disclaimer as required by law for all used cars. Went back by there last night, and the black one was gone (this was the first RX-8 they received- and it sold quickly- I KNOW in my gut that was a buyback RX-8, since the sales manager told me a few months ago that they ordered six RX-8s- three autos and tree 6man- no way they ordered two black 6man RX-8s) Hmmmm, maybe they can sell these buybacks as demos if the title paperwork hadn't gone through yet????
