Where is the Oil Filter?

Can someone tell me where the oil filter is? I drained the oil, but I can not located the oil filter.

Top rear of the engine assuming you are talking about an RX8! There are DIY forums that give oil change instructions.

So you access it from the top? How do you guys make room to take it off. It's too damn crowded in there, I can barely get a grip on it much less get a tool in there.

It is too difficult if you have big hands, thinking about relocating it.

I have fairly small hands. I can grip it but then my arms can not move at all. No way to apply any torque whatsoever. Do you guys remove components from the area to make room?

Finished my first oil change ever on any car . I had the filter wrench socket... and a 7 inch ratchet. My hands are all skinned but it's done! Thanks for the info.
