whistling sound

there is almost like a whistling sound when i accelerate starting out in 1st ans 2nd, what is it and is it bad?

scroll down to the section of this page called "Similar threads" and you'll find there are at least 5 other topics asking the exact same question.

I'm pretty sure that's the rotors in the engine...

fine hossg... You've forced me into it.

Your rear rotor has lost all compression. the whistling you're hearing is because oil is leaking into the rotor housing and in a couple weeks your oil light will come on confirming it.

Take your RX8 back to the dealership or the person that sold it to you as soon as possible and get a civic instead.

thats not true because everyone on this site is complaining about it so its just the rotary engine

and anyway the rotor is a part of the engine and i have a 8 year warrenty on the engine so im not worried

normal sound for a rotary engine...I believe ur just hearing the engine and tranny turning....please search before u post things that have been talked about b4
