White glove treatment

I brought my car in today for the recall and when I called them at 3:30P, they have not even started looking into it yet. I guess all the paying customers get priority first.

My suspicion is that the non-recall jobs have thicker margins so they do those first. I'm using LeeJohnson Mazda at Kirkland.

****** in the eight?

The dealership is probably out turning tricks with your 8 for a little extra money to cover those recall jobs. Check the back seat and roof.

lol... you guys are messed up...

ArthurY, they are just messing with you. Take it easy. Don't expect much from Mazda dealers, not many of them are known for customer service.

ArthurY, have you had previously problems with Lee Johnson? The reason I ask is because my experiece with them have been mostly great so far(have my 8 for 3 years now). But they are just finishing some huge remodeling there and are a little messed up with their process. I don't believe current problems are representative of their usual level of service.
I know people have been having problems with dealers that are less than optimal, but I don't consider Lee Johnson as being one of those... At least not yet.
Keep us posted on your experience with them this time.

yeah I've been splitting my work between U Mazda and Lee Johnson, but was gonna take my recall work to Lee Johnson since I live in Kirkland.

Let us know how it went there. I usually find the Service Manger (Scott) fairly helpful and reliable.

White gloves scare me. Reminds me of a christmas hand bell concert I was forced to as a kid.

Interesting. I haven't gotten my letter yet, but I was planning on going to Lee Johnson when I do. I'd be interested in hearing any other experiences people have had with them.

I just scheduled an appointment with Lee J today. They are gonna give me a standard Enterprise rental which bummed me out, but hopefully its just for a day.

Lee Johnson have a tie up with Enterprise, but I dont think U Mazda do, in which case you probably have a better shot at getting a CX-7 at the place than Lee Johnson.

Here hoping nothings wrong with my car!!

White Glove lacking

Mine was lacking, I called & asked why I didn't get a rental, car wash or filled up tank. They said, "I haven't seen the customer recall letter, what are you talking about" I said "It's not the customer one, it's the one sent to the dealer".
He then played dumb, huh, what are you talking about. I said, sweet as sugar "Would you like me to fax it to you" & the butt head hasn't called me back. Yet!
I called MazdaNA & explained everything.
If you don't get what you are entitled to, push the dealer, they get paid to fill your tank up with gas. Whether they do it or not. IF YOU ARE HAVING RECALL WORK DONE. Better yet, make sure they know that you know BEFORE they do the work. That way, hopefully, they will give you what they are supposed to when they have your car.

So I called up U Mazda and they said all they can give is a Mazda 3 or a Mazda 6. They aren't giving CX-7's for any recall work co they dont have any in their fleet.

Hmm, almost wants me wanna call up Mazda NA

I had the recall done at U Mazda Tuesday. Seemed to go ok. I made sure the car was empty and dirty when I got there. They did the work, filled it and washed it. New L plugs, PCM reprogram only. They offered a loaner car, but I declined since it's too expensive to park downtown. Only odd thing was that I had to ask them for the sticker indicating that the recall work was done.

The car seems stronger at low and mid revs now, but that may be just my imaginaiton.

Anyway, Paul over at U Mazda has treated me right for years, and he's a real rotor-head.

Hope it goes well!

I got my car back from LeeJohnson but neither ScottTrail (the Service mgr) not Jake (service guy) talked to me personally to tell what they did for the car. All Jake said was to pick up the car key from the receptionist and it took some damned fool nearly 20min just to drive the car from the lot to the front door.

I thot it was quite a let down to not even explain to the customer what the recall was all about and what they did. All the work order said was they did Procedure (A) and (E). The more I talk about this, the more pissed I become. I'm going to stop here.

Print out the dealer and owner letters before heading to the dealers to show them what is supposed to be offered.

I faxed my local dealer the letters and that has cleared things up for me and it seems those following.

Got my car back from Lee Johnson, may I add the service guys at LJ are awesome (Scott in particular). I always seem to get better treatment there than U Mazda.

Got a brand new CX-7 as a loaner.

My car checked out allright. LJ had replaced the spark plugs/battery for me earlier and they reprogrammed it, cleaned it, gased it and did all the other tests.

btw has anybody noticed how the new Mazda showroom is coming along. Looks pretty cool. Mazda USA has them standardised and I last saw that kind of Mazda showroom in Yakima. These guys are almost done and it looks kinda neat.
