I have a JDM Pearl White. I think it looks regal. Like a polar bear with a black nose and penetrating eyes.

BTW Pearl White achieves its pearlscient effect with mica specks. If anyone saw the mica yellow it is about the same level of sparkle. It's more subtle that the metallic colours.

I must admit that the white looks really stunning. I was on my way home yesterday and a new white S-2000 followed me into my neighborhood and I thought to myself how nice that would look on the 8. I still would have purchased the red though!

 

White and a little factory FI and I would be sold :D

 

I think they should save the white for the H2RX-8 (hydrogen)

Pearl white is available here in Japan. I have seen a couple on the road. You have to pay about $600 dollars extra for it.

If available in the States, the white would have been in play as my color choice, especially since it's a pearlescent color - sort of like a bonus surprise as you get close enough to the car to see that it's more than appliance white. My FD is white and I've never regretted that choice..

Silver has always been a favorite color of mine and IMHO looks great on the 8.

But if they offered white, I'd have a *tough* time choosing!

Just to clarify my post, pearl white is a MAZDA factory option in Japan, but you have to pay extra for it (I don't really know why). I also don't know about the situation in other countries.

 

The Pearl white definitely looks better in person... for instance, go take a look at a Red in person. It looks great.. not no cheesy red.. lots of sparkles. Just like the Pearl White... Not dull white, but metallic white.

 

Now Pearl White could be interesting... :D
