am i going blind.... or is this a white rx-8?

either way, if it's white or not, i think mazda should offer white as an option.

White looks so clean! I LIKE. I would never buy it though, but I would like the option.
Call me stoopid, but I've always had black cars (all 2 of them). I think they look much more menacing.

That is the only White RX-8 I saw, and it looked damn good. However, on film/photos, the lines don't show up that well. I heard that Marketing killed the option for the first year, since they wanted all the RX-8's to be photographable.
But in person, damn it was nice. That would have been the color I got, if it were available. In fact, if a good body kit is available, the whole car will get shot in white.

Historically white is the 'right' colour for a Japanese car just as Italians are red, Germans Silver, French Blue and British cars BRG. White is a very popular colour for cars in Japan.

The pic at the start of this thread must have been taken at the press event where all the reviewers got pissed off at having to follow a slow Mazda 6 around the circuit.

That sounds true! White is a very popular color for japanese cars but i haven't seen a high %age of white jap's in US. Personally I've had enough whites so I am going anything but white :-)
There are many Titanium Grey fans but seems like there aren't many people excited about the SILVER ???
- Do you think the silver will look too light
- will look dull
- too comon ?

Those of you who want white I would recommend waiting a year. At the introduction of every new rx-# model I can remember that mazda has produced they have not offered white until the second year. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can sure back this up about the 3rd gen. rx7.
