Who framed Roger Rabbit?
I did; dead-square within my driver's-side lower air intake! Roger ran out in front of me from left to right this morning and I ran out of road and time to miss him going right. He impacted just where my left foglight is, and shattered the mount for it. The light itself is OK. It just shattered the black plastic that goes around it.
I have a feeling this will be a new light assembly and a PITA to install.
So, for Cool-Blue-Dad...Eat More Rabbit Too!

Too bad to hear about your incident with Roger Rabbit. Must admit i had a few chuckles at your way of putting it. And if it is any consolation the bunny got the payback instantaneously. God punishes in the afterlife but an RX-8 dishes out punishment freely, right here, right now.
I hope you get your RX-8 patched up in no time!

Sorry to hear you got a live one. Coincidentally I had a rabbit near-miss a couple of nights ago. Mostly, I've had to dodge other people's road-kill lately, but that's a lot easier than trying to second guess a moving target.

I got a squirrel by the tail this morning, I thought I missed him entirely since I did not hear a "THUD" or "WHACK" or "WAM", but his furry little tail was left in the road and he was no where to be found, poor guy, at least he got to keep his nuts....

It was a big ol' Texas Jackrabbit. I still need to look underneath when I get home and can get dirty, but I don't think I have any body / structural / oil cooler damage. I believe I caught him in a squat and primarily his head made contact. I'll try to find him on the way home (just outside my neighborhood), but here the dead critters don't lay around long. The buzzards probably have him.
Thanks for the sympathies...and sorry to Bunnygirl. Bunnygirl, this was a Hare; nowhere near as cute as a Bunny. :-)

I've been kidding a buddy at work who grew up in Atlanta, TX (I grew up in Atlanta, GA) about his HS football team named the Rabbits. I think I'm about due a beating. Hehe.
Anyway, I had it at Mazda yesterday, and they recommended I change out the whole assembly. However, you can buy just the mount / bezel piece. Assembly & Install = $385 and you don't even get a reacharound. Bezel = $55.
I'll be pulling it off soon to see where I truly stand on parts. MadDash, I need to verify that the remaining glass assembly is really OK once I have it out. It took a good whack and I want to make sure there aren't any HARE-line cracks in it.
