Just out of curiosity, who has racked up the most miles on their RX-8? Has any one pasted the warrarnty period?

I've got 5400 miles so far.

I just might win lowest mileage at just over 1,600. I've had the car since August of last year, but since winter started have only gotten the car on the road about twice a month.

 

There is someome on her that has over 50k I think..

My 1 year mark is in about a week and I'm pushing 36k

 

WOW, that must suck...but then your car is still practically new..

 

That's right, and he managed the 50K in a year...
As for me, I must be a contender for "the least average miles" award... I bought my car early November 2003, and as of today, I have about 3200 miles on it (213 miles a month).
That's what the life of a consultant and being constantly on the road does to you.

 

khtm, those were 5400 hard miles i might add i've had it since oct. 04. so i'm doing normal i think. has any one with 50k+ had any engine problems? i'm trying to figure out how long these rotary's are good for. I think they will last a long time if they are kept naturally aspirated

 

I'm lower, but not for long - I've only got just over 1500 on the clock, but that's only since December 29th...

 

I've had my 8 since late December 2004 and I have 1,099 miels on my 8. So FAR from the most, but I did see someone selling his 8 at autotrader.com and he had 86,000 miles on his...scary man...

 

86,000!? Did the guy ever get out of it or did he just drive it all day and night!?

 

Wow!! Someone with lower monthly miles than me :D I have 3900 miles on my 8. She turned 1 year old this month!! I'm averaging apprx 325 per mo. Familyman I calculate you at approx 320. Nice...I'm not the only freak on here that hates getting his car dirty!!

Yeah Irish, my wife thinks I'm borderline insane...

But I do plan on making up for lost time this spring when I am able to wash regularly and keep her clean. I'm sure my avg. will easily go up by summer's end, which would also be my 1-yr. mark.

Just make sure your 8 feels loved...

I've had mine 6 months and just turned over 2300 miles on it, so nowhere near the lowest, but only put on about 500 in the last 3 months (weather related sickness), but I feel spring coming early this year... :D

 

Just a little over 22,500 miles (going to get new tires this weekend cause they are bald). I think the guy who had 50,000 miles was asking about warranty stuff just in case, but he hasn't had any issues yet if I remember correctly. We should probably all hope that he continues to post here and keeps us updated.

BTW...I have owned it since Sept 11th 2004 when it had 15,000 miles on it so I am putting about 1,500 miles per month on mine.

 

I don't know what happend to that 8, but he was selling it for $19,000.

lol, somehow this thread got into just the opposite...it's who has the MOST miles guys/gals...lol :p

 

I bought the car with 4000 miles on it, now it has 7500. my avg is 1000 miles a month. ive had it since september 20th.

by the way, how often should we get oil changes. i heard that rx8's eat quite a bit of it.

 

I'm at 13k in just over 8 months.

 

I'm at 1400 in just over 3 weeks. At least it's broken in. :D
