If all else fails, call/email Mazda of North America and complain about the dealers gouging.

Some time in 2002, infact the dealer was pre-empting mazda somwhat, but they seem to have come through for me...
As for the rest of it, well, at the time the dealer didn't know the prices, but the prices are controlled more strictly here... There was never any dealer allocation, all orders are being handled by mazda via the dealers, so there is no real risk of being charged more than the "Mazda approved" price...

I was quoted sticker last night for first allocation (2 left). They want $500 refundable deposit. That part was easy... Trying to get the wife drunk enough to agree to getting one in June was the impossible task. Looks like I'm still looking at September.. Luckily it's my 40th birthday so that will provide some leverage.

Try Cuervo 1800. It worked for me. :D

Jan. 13th. MSRP, or else...
The dealer told me I was 7th of 7 in their first allotment, but I'm remaining slightly skeptical, just in case, so I won't be disappointed if something goes wrong.

I pre-ordered (offically got the confirmation today from MazdaUSA that I am in their data base) Jan.15. But I am concerned about the delivery date now because last week I asked if I could add options which were not available at that time and received a confirmation from the dealer earlier this week that they were able to add them. I added the spoiler, cargo net, spare tire kit, front/rear splash guards, moonroof wind deflector and cassette player. Has anyone else been able to do that with their pre-order?

Hello All,
I live in SF Bay Area with at least 12 dealers within a 45 mile radius. I was still able to get MSRP considering living in a more costly metropolitan area and will order mine this coming Tuesday.
I was quoted from MSRP and up to 2K-7K more than was advertised per Mazda Website.
I will let you know if the story changes. The total with all my extras came to $33,400 (per Mazda web).
Questions:
What exactly is the "spare tire kit". Does it come with the tools and an actual spare tire?
Can someone show me a picture of what the front/rear splash guards look like?
What does the moonroof deflector look like?
Thanks!

Ordered on Jan 13th at MSRP.
$500 non-refundable deposit, but shouldn't be an issue because there is no doubt in my mind that I will be taking delivery of the car.
Adding the rotary accents and possibly a spoiler.
