I have yet to find a single person that can articulate why they think the Miata is "gay". Every single one just points to what other people say or fabricated events.

I'd be interested in finding someone that believes they are "gay", and can articulate why.

I guess I'm gay too then because if I had a miata, I would turn it into a track monster. There are companies that make v8 transplant kits for miatas. Plus, who doesn't love pop-up headlights?

 

The miata is a really fun car to drive and I really like it.
Would I own one? Probably not.
Why? Not really for me.
What kind of car is for me? The Rx8.
Am I gay? Yes...
Seeing how I drive an Rx8, does that now make you gay, or me straight?

The part about this that I find really hysterical is the idea that all gay guys are girly, or that all girly guys are gay.

I've known some pretty macho gay guys. And I've known girly-men who were poon-hounds.

If a guy tells me he drives a Miata, I don't assume that he's gay. I assume that he probably really knows how to drive. Some of the best drivers I've ever met were in Miatas. They know how to do more than just open the throttle in a straight.

I did not create this to start controversy, I just like the McGruber movie.

 

Asking someone if they think the Miata is a gay-guy or chick car is a good way to determine if the person is a true car nut or not. If they say, "Yes, it's a chick car," they're not a real car enthusiast. No *real* car nut would ever call the Miata gay. It's one of the world's all-time great sports cars, and one of the most road raced vehicles ever, and for good reason.
